Heighington AFC Boys have been generously sponsored by Honest John. They start their first season in the league on Sunday 11/09. The team is a good mix of great lads, with a range of abilities. Thanks to Honest John the team now has matching hoodies and the club would like to take this opportunity to thank Honest John, who does a lot of amazing work with his shop in DISC next to the Blue Bridge in Newton Aycliffe. John’s shop is open Monday to Friday from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

Heighington AFC Boys Under 12’s send a massive thank you to local community fundraiser Honest John. After approaching him in November 2014, and explaining our team was mainly Aycliffe boys who play from Heighington he was keen to help us raise much needed funds for our team Away strip.
John got in touch to advise that he would be starting the fundraising in December, for which we were very grateful especially when he presented a cheque for £600.
After receiving this very generous donation we contacted Single Source Supply, a local family run business to supply our  self-designed strip. Within a matter of days the Under 12’s played their first game in their new Away strip.
Without help from Honest John the boys wouldn’t look so well presented, so we extend our gratitude with a very big THANK YOU from the entire team.
